One of, if not the most hated rivalry in sports is between the Yankees and the Red Sox. Both teams have very high payrolls, both have all star caliber players, and both find themselves playing at the end of the season to win the AL East. This year should be no different when the season starts on March 31st.
In recent years, the Yankees and the Phillies have had a rivalry building. Through out the past few years both teams have beaten up on each other. This year however the Yankees will not play the Phillies at all in the regular season. This means that the only chance that the Yankees and Phillies will meet this season would be in the World Series, and with Cliff Lee's 5-0 playoff record, that is the last thing that the Yankees want to happen.
The Phillies fans on this campus are SO ANNOYING haha.
ReplyDeleteI am a Phillies fan thank you very much Sayler. I got respect for a couple Yankees.
ReplyDeleteYour right, I wouldn't want to see Cliff Lee in the playoffs, let alone the rest of the phillies starting rotation. Good thing I'm a phillies fan =)
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to agree! I wouldn't want to face the Phillies either! They are a solid team with depth in all areas! I would love to see them take out the Yankees. Go Phillies!
